Lumen Studio makes cotton sweatshirts, overshirts and leather belts in relaxed cuts and plain colours that work with clothes you already own.

The range is narrow on purpose: a handful of shapes, repeated each season in different fabrics, so a jacket bought two years ago still matches this season's shirt.

Everything is cut relaxed, which here means one size wider through the chest and body than a shirt of the same label size, with a dropped shoulder seam. Sleeves are cut to sit at the wrist bone.

If you normally wear a medium and want the shape the photographs show, take a medium. Take a small if you would rather it sat closer, and a large only if you plan to wear a jumper underneath.

• Sweatshirts and overshirts run XS to XXL.
• Belts run 80 to 105 cm, measured at the middle hole.
• Between two belt sizes, take the larger — the leather has five holes at 2.5 cm apart.
• Cotton is pre-shrunk, so the first wash changes little.
