Maison Vire
Maison Vire makes leather bags, shoes and accessories.
Bags run from a raffia crossbody for summer to a brown leather card wallet. Shoes are low-top leather trainers with perforated uppers. The clothing is small and quiet: a half-zip sweatshirt, a silky camisole blouse, a wide-brim wool felt hat.

Four materials, and what each one asks for
The range uses smooth leather, suede, woven raffia and wool felt. They wear at different speeds, which is worth knowing before you buy rather than after.
Smooth leather marks least and takes a polish. Suede holds its colour but needs brushing rather than wiping. Raffia is a plant fibre and dries out in direct sun. Wool felt keeps its shape as long as it is stored on its crown or upside down, never on the brim.
- Smooth leather: wipe dry, polish once or twice a year.
- Suede: brush with a soft crepe brush, keep it away from rain.
- Raffia: store out of direct sun so the weave does not go brittle.
- Wool felt: steam the brim back into shape and store it upside down.
