Vela Atelier
Vela Atelier makes leather bags, cotton blouses and knitted hats.
Bags are the widest part of the range: structured handbags, small crossbody shapes and full-size totes, in smooth or quilted leather. Clothing follows the same colours, so a blouse and a bag bought together sit in the same palette.
How the range is built
Four groups: bags, blouses, skirts and knitted hats. Each one is made in the same six colours — black, cream, tan, navy, brown and olive — which is why a bag from one season still matches a skirt from the next.
Bags are made in three sizes. The crossbody takes a phone and a card wallet, the handbag adds room for a notebook, and the tote takes a laptop up to fourteen inches.
- Smooth cowhide, tanned and dyed through, so a scratch does not show a pale layer under it.
- Quilted leather over a light padding, stitched in a diamond grid.
- Cotton poplin for the blouses, woven closely enough to hold a collar.
- Wool-blend yarn for the hats, in a rib that goes back to shape.
